TRAINING CLASSES

 
  • T1: MAS™ System Orientation and Tour (3 hours, 15 minutes includes 50 minute lunch break)
    COURSE # DESCRIPTION REQUIRED FOR COST ($USD)
    T1 MAS™ System Orientation and Tour (3 hrs, 30 mins): This orientation and tour will consist of:(1) 1 hour presentation on the MAS™ System Components, (2) 30 minute tour of the MAS™ testing facility, (3) 45 minute tour of the MAS-1300™Discovery Model at the Southern Utah University Campus.  (11:00am to 2:30pm)

    • Lunch provided by MAS™
    N/A FREE if requested by an MAS Distributor, else $125.00 USD Per Person.

     

  • T2: MAS™ System Familiarization for Bidding (6 hours)
    COURSE # DESCRIPTION REQUIRED FOR COST ($USD)
    T2 MAS™ System Familiarization for Bidding (6 hrs): This class is designed to teach a person with experience in project bidding how to “price quote” a MAS™ System.  This class will cover all the materials and labor required as well as all the unique and cost saving features of the MAS™ System.  Attendees will receive paper and electronic copies of manual bidding sheets as well as the MAS™ Proprietary Microsoft Excel based bidding spreadsheet.

    • Lunch provided by MAS™
    Suggested for any contractor tasked with bidding on or the construction of a MAS™ system project. $265.00 USD Per Person Per Course (Course is 1 day).
  • T3: MAS™ Construction Orientation & Familiarization Course (16 hours)

    T3 MAS™ Construction Orientation & Familiarization Course (16 hours)

    Contractor Proficiency Certification $800.00 USD Per Person Per Course (Course is 2 days) for the first 2 persons, then $400.00 USD per person per course for each additional person per group attending the same session on the same registration form.
  • T4: MAS™ Proficiency Training (4 hours per Specialty)

    T4 MAS™ Proficiency Training. (4 hrs per day*)

    *Note:  Two of the 6 specialty areas can be completed per day.

    Specialty Worker (Sub-Contractor) Proficiency Certification $1,000.00 USD for each group of up to 5 persons Per Day. Each group is required to be enrolled in the same specialty area(s) and booked by the same MAS Distributor or Contractor on the same registration form.It takes 3 full days to achieve a Proficiency Certificate in all six Specialty Areas.

    Course T4 is available in the 6 specialty areas that require certification by MAS™:

    Specialty Worker (Sub-Contractor) Specialty Areas:

    • (X) Foundation / Concrete Finisher*
    • (A) Form / SPiFolding Setters
    • (B) Re-bar Setters
    • (C) Concrete Mixer Technician
    • (D) Shotcrete Nozzle Operator
    • (E) Concrete Stamping / Finisher

    * This specialty  includes digging (or directing the digging) of the small exterior footing, forming of the footing and pad, installation of re-bar and conduit in footing and pad, plumbing provisions, pouring concrete and finishing the concrete.  Certification in this area involves the ability to direct and inspect qualified professionals with experience in digging, forming and pouring foundations and pads.  MAS™ does not provide training for the actual digging, forming, pouring or finishing of concrete as this is most often sub-contracted to a local specialist and is NOT unique to the MAS™ system.  The training will include the placement of the re-bar and conduit as well as limited plumbing provisioning.

  • T5: MAS™ Certified Trainer (8 hours)
    COURSE # DESCRIPTION REQUIRED FOR COST ($USD)
    T5 MAS™ Certified Trainer Course (8 hours) & must HOLD T2, T3 & T4 Proficiency Certificates prior to enrollment.

    • Lunch provided by MAS™
    A Certified Trainer can conduct and issue Proficiency Certificates for the T2, T3 and T4 areas $265.00 USD Per Person. (Course is 1 day)
FIELD TRAINING & SUPPORT

 

Field training at the location of your choice by a holder of a MAS™ Training Certificate.  You may request a Contractor, Foreman or Specialty Worker all of whom will hold a Proficient Certificate in their respective area(s) of expertise. certified trainer.  $600.00 USD Per Day plus travel expenses(1)

COURSE DESCRIPTION COST ($USD)
Field Support  T2 or T3 Field support and field technical assistance at the location of your choice by a Certified Contractor or Foreman. $450.00 USD Per Day plus travel expenses(1)(2)
Field Support T4 Field support and field technical assistance by a certified Specialty Worker (Sub-Contractor).  These support personnel are certified in one or more of the following Specialty Areas:(X) Foundation / Concrete Finisher, (A) Form / SPifolding Setters, (B) Re-bar Setters, (C) Concrete Mixer Technician, (D) Shotcrete Nozzle Operator, (E) Concrete Stamping/Finisher $375.00 USD Per Day plus travel expenses(1)(2)

(1) Travel expenses include air fair, visas, travel time,  ground transportation, meals and lodging.

Travel time is billed at $20.00 an hour for a maximum of 16 hours in any 24 hour period.  Travel time starts 1.5 hours prior to aircraft departure from Cedar City, Utah, or 4 hours prior to aircraft departure from Las Vegas, Nevada or Salt Lake City, Utah.  Travel time concludes 30 minute after trainer has reached his final accommodations at training location.

(2) It is possible to use Field Support for training in order to decrease training costs on large jobs.  However, the required official training hours can ONLY be logged when provided by a Field Trainer.  If there is already a field trainer on site, using Field Support personnel to assist the Field Trainer my be acceptable and should be discussed with the Field Trainer in advance.
