The MAS™ system is built around two envelopes, one for the MAS-570™ and the other for the MAS-1300™. These envelopes form the structural basis for the MAS-570™ and MAS-1300™. These envelopes are NEVER modified. However, the sides of the MAS-570™ and the corners of the MAS-1300™ are designed in such a way as to permit various openings to be incorporated during construction.
MAS™ has instituted a “Type” system making it easy to call out and obtain drawings/plans for typically configured MAS-570™ and MAS-1300™ configurations. There are many more configurations possible than those predefined as Types. If you would like to combine features from various Types predefined by MAS™, please contact MAS™ engineering for assistance. Although most every configuration found in the MAS™ Types can be combined to create a new MAS™ Type, there are some structural limitations. The MAS™ engineering staff will work to create a new Type if needed at no charge. Engineering support is included free as part of the per unit ADELS Fee.
MAS™ Type Summary:
● Type A: Apartment (Openings that facilitate the interior being divided into multiple sections each with separate entrances)
● Type B: Bunker (NO exterior openings: Military & Industrial Storage)
● Type G: Garage (Large overhead door opening(s): Garage, Warehouse, Industrial Storage)
● Type R: Residential (Openings to accommodate standard windows, doors and patio sliders)
● Type S: Specialty (Unique opening configurations defined by the end user)
