If the MAS™ system is so strong and maintenance free is there a warranty?
YES THERE IS A WARRANTY. Modern Arch Structures warrants the MAS™ structural integrity to the contractor for 20 years. The contractor in turn is encouraged to incorporate this MAS™ warranty in their “end user warranty” if applicable. All 3rd party accessories are warranted by the 3rd party and not MAS™. However, if the 3rd party accessory is certified by MAS™, it will be warranted not to interfere with or disturb the structural integrity of the MAS™ system. Use of non certified 3rd party accessories may void the MAS™ warranty. Please see your MAS™ warranty for complete details.
The warranty is a basic 20 year structural warranty (to the contractor), that guarantees that there will be no structural failures during the 20 years so long as the unit is licensed and built according to the engineering design AND remains unmodified. Also, if 3rd party CERTIFIED options are used, they will NOT void the warranty. Non-certified 3rd party options will need to be examined on a case by case basis. There is NO exclusion for acts of god, or natural disasters, so it is an unprecedented warranty in the housing field. The language of this warranty will vary by county and area due to local regulations and laws. MAS™ will work with the local MAS Distributor on a project by project basis to make sure the warranty conveys MAS™’s intent and the expectations of the contractor & customer.
