MAS™ T2 Course Outline

9:00 am – MAS™ terminology

There are many innovations developed by MAS™. This necessitates a look at the new terminology where you will view slides, animations, and be exposed to models of the various parts you will be learning about. This section will end with an open note test.

10:00 am- MAS™ General Take offs and MAS™ website help

Much of the information for materials and quantity take off can be found on the MAS™ website. You will be guided to the appropriate places and taken through examples of how you can use the website as a ready reference and presentation help. Examples of material types and specs will be discussed.

10:30 am- Steps and Timing of setting MAS™ forms

The MAS™ forming system is simple and straightforward. However, it is new to the market. An explanation of timing and general steps will help you understand the bidding process.

MAS SPiFolding™ was developed to allow workers easy access to all surfaces of MAS™ structures.  This section will test your terminology learned earlier in the class, and will give you a good understanding of how to bid the labor required for staging and assembly of this innovative system. An open note test will be given covering MAS Forms™ and MAS SPiFolding™.

11:30 am- How many MAS™ forms do you need for your project?

Each project has different requirements for time to completion. The math is simple, but necessary to understand the quantities of MAS Forms™ and MAS SPiFolding™ needed for individual projects.

12:00 pm – Lunch with the MAS™ team

After an intense morning of learning about us, enjoy a relaxed casual lunch with the MAS™ team where we get to know each other a little better.

1:00 pm- How weather and climate might affect your bid (Risk Management Using the MAS Tenting Solution™)

The MAS Tenting Solution™ is an innovative attachment system that works in concert with the MAS SPiFolding system™. It is an integral part of the concrete cure, and provides protection from a variety of climate conditions. Considerations, terminology and bidding solutions will be discussed. An open note test will be given covering this section.

2:00 pm- MAS™ land densities and site layout

Requirements for land densities effect site layout and staging for MAS™ equipment. Considerations for various densities and topographical circumstances will be discussed.

3:00 pm- Re-cap and specific questions

Depending on group size, the MAS Team™ will attempt to answer your specific questions and concerns throughout the course. However, in an effort to cover all course material during our presentation, we may save some of your questions for this section.

3:30 pm- Discovery concept home tour

The Discovery concept home was built on Southern Utah University to provide working examples of the original building concepts. This original building provides many examples of finishes and was designed to enhance student understanding of our innovative building process.
